St. Paul’s Chapel, on Broadway and Vesey.
Built in 1764.
Most of the inscriptions on the gravestones here have long been washed away by the weather, which gave me an unsettling macabre feeling as I walked around.

The first picture was taken between 56th and 55th St. on 3rd Ave, for those who care.
The second is the Chrysler building at night. I really love the architecture of that building.
The third, I don’t know the location but I think I took it during my walk to Central Park, so probably somewhere in the Upper East side. Again, the architecture of this city is phenomenal.
The last is of some cupcakes we bought from a place called Crumbs. These things were huge and so damn delicious. I had the red velvet one while my mom picked the devil’s food. Mine was better, not gonna lie.

Walking through these streets was plain eerie at times. All of the tourists constantly broke me out of that strange feeling though. I hated that for a lot of the foreigners that were crowding the streets, the freedom tower was just a spectacle. Just some grand building that was under construction. Maybe I’m just being sensitive about the subject but I mean really, please, just take five seconds and think about how these streets, this graveyard right across the street and the tops of buildings around you and the streets heading in every direction - everything was covered in rubble and paper and ash, which came from destroyed buildings.
And what’s more, there were probably bodies where you are standing, where you’re walking.
How can that not effect you?
